If you know the history behind Microsoft, most of the founders (Bill Gates, etc) worked for Xerox and IBM. They essentially stole the technology that made DOS and WINDOWS possible...ok, so "stole" is a strong word, but they took what they had done, and what they had learned, left Xerox in the lurch and started their own company.
Over the years, IBM and Microsoft have worked together on the Desktop Market, just like Intel and Microsoft have done. But with all the problems, security issues and other bugs in the Microsoft experience, IBM has officially announced they have something "faster, better, and stronger" than Microsoft's Windows products...not it isn't the Bionic Man's Brain...it is Ubuntu Linux...
